Supported living is a way of providing people with support as they go about living in the community.
Liberty Centre Limited supported living programmes aim to give individuals as much independence as possible.
We will help individuals to gain or rediscover the skills they need, whilst recognising that the intermittent nature of learning disability, Autism or challenging behaviours means there may be bad days too.
The location of our Supported Living Units development will supports our philosophy of working towards a comprehensive community based service philosophy as shops, leisure facilities, a library and churches are all extremely close by. Local bus and train services are excellent in developing travelling skills
There will be colleges close by for people who wish to continue their education, and the possibility of local employment opportunities with appropriate staff support.
Service users at Liberty Centre Limited will be supported by an experienced staff team providing round the clock support, helping them to live an active life in the community.
There appears to be great interest in our Supported Living schemes but this isn’t surprising given the lack of specialist facilities for people with learning disability and challenging behaviour, including autism to live independently in the community.
Supported living is an alternative to residential care; it allows for a greater degree of choice and independence. The service provides flexibility; for example if someone needs their support to be greater at key times then, this would be built into the package and reviewed regularly. Support is provided on a shared or individual basis.
Our Supported Living units are located within the following boroughs:
